I never knew I loved the snow...

The beautiful coverings of frost

crystals that give everything

a sugar-coated look and

catching snowflakes on my tongue.

I never knew I loved photography..

Until I picked up a camera and changed

the way I looked at ordinary things,

so amazing to capture.

I never knew I loved my sister so much...

Until I realized she was leaving.

I would be alone.

I never knew I loved to read...

Spending the long winter nights

consumed in a good book

like fire engulfs a dry summer field.
