Lost and not Found
  By Mollie Rae Miller

  There are two
  ways to lose something
it can just disappear and be forgotten forever
  or it can be misplaced
  searched for in vain
  A woman digs
  In a shelf above her
  A picture book
  Whispers
To her to visit its magical world once again.
  She shuts the creaky door.
  A man sorts
  Though every pocket
  Every drawer
A key lies under a rug
  Laughing.
  A little girl cries
  for her missing mother
  who is just breathing in
  the next room.
  A dog crashes
  into the woods
  Sniff Sniff Sniff...
  to the right a tennis
  ball hides in a puddle.
  In a sewing room
  A long forgotten
  blue button
  sighs under the dusty cabinet
  trying to scout
  Its way Home.
