Leaving

Leaving town

I felt my stomach knot when my parents

told me we were moving

I thought about everything I would be

leaving behind

My dad trying to be calm and kind

A million questions and thoughts going

through my mind

I could only think of the bad things

Not know how grateful and happy I was going

to be after I left

I never want to go back
