Empty Shelf

I lost it almost a month ago

To a friend who said I would get it right back

In no time flat

And all the while

Its place is empty on my shelf

I wonder when I will get it back

In no time flat

I meet my "friend" in the common room

And ask him

When will I get it back?

And when is no time flat

He says

You will get it back soon

He assures me

You will get it back soon....
