When my ankle snapped

My muscle fled

Not wanting to return

Six weeks in a cast

Unable to move

Left a stick

Where my leg used to be

Finally I'm free

Though it hurts to move

More weeks of pain

Trying to walk

And finally run

It still refuses

To all come back
