Eavesdropping behind the door

I hear my dad say

It's a boy

I dash down the hall

Announce to all my friends

I have a baby brother

Head to the hospital

See him wrapped in a camouflage blanket

Placed in my arms he feels tiny

Mom says meet your new brother
