This Woman

This woman

  was happy half of the time.

  From time to time

  this woman

  was true.

  This woman

  can act like you.

  This woman

  was loud.

  This woman

  was strong and proud.

  This woman

  was to her self

  This woman

  was happy with her wealth.

  This woman

  was hot as fire

  and never

  cold as ice.

  This woman

  was afraid of turning old.

  This woman

  was bold.

  If you knew this woman,

you would write the same poem. 

Do you know who she is?  I know. 

She’s my inspiration.  She’s my mother

and not like any other.
