Streams

Streams hold a million moons.

Some move like starfish.

Some dance when I sing.

A stream sounds like a piano,

Sometimes like a parade.

It splashes me in the sky when I fly.

I like to write poems about streams

when I am feeling shy.

I put my fingers in the stream

pretend I am swimming.

The waves I make are like a hurricane

The music it makes like a butterfly

Kissing the night sky.

Rain falls in the stream

splashes like diamonds.

The stream is like a rocket

never blasting off.
