The Fourth of July

At the house next to the old run down farm
On the fourth of July running around the yard
The crackle of the bonfire
The air rushing by
The tire swing
The splash of kids jumping off the pontoon
The swish of the fishing rod when someone casts their line
And the clicking of reeling in their catch
The thump of feet on the dock
The smell of hotdogs on the grill
And the scream of firecrackers
When night comes.
