When I was Young

When I was nine a third grader

Yes, I got my first pair of glasses

I felt like the kids would tease

But they never did

 

I tragedy happen my great grandpa died at age 97

It wasn't that hard for me I didn't know him that well

The same year my dog died

My favorite dog

She got attacked by wolves

 

When I was fourteen the year of the Flood 2002

Did we ever have to work hard to save my grandparents house

We worked all night whether it was filling sandbags or

Hauling stuff up from the basement

 

It was the month of June

We played volleyball that month

We lost a lot of practice time because of flood

When our tournament came

We went and guess what we won

 

Now I'm sixteen
