Ready to race

Sign in and pay

Unload the car

Cars driving in the pits

The fumes from some

Make your eyes water.

The rumble from some

Makes your ears rattle.

Once they go by

The dust is in your face

Then it's my turn finally.

Out onto the track

The green flag waves

Passing cars

Getting passed by others

Around and around we go

Trading paint back and forth

Everybody afraid to get last

One lap to go

Everybody driving harder

It comes down to the last turn

Hard into the turn we go

All jammed together

The checkered flag waves

I won the race

I get the checkered flag

Around the track again

The flag in hand

It's the victory lap

The race is done

Load the car

Back home we go again.
