My Destiny

Family,
Friendship,
Warmth,
Hope, and care,
Things seen and unseen,
And memories shared,
New life,
Second chances,
A place to be me,
A place to be free,
A place to feel safe from everyday life,
Somewhere to belong,
Somewhere to feel love,
Somewhere all my thoughts make sense,
Somewhere to find all the answers,
Somewhere the joy is all around,
Reality this is not,
My reality is a house not a home,
Family at each others' throats,
Foes not friends,
Cold not warmth,
Bashing dreams not hope and care,
Things seen and unseen,
And memories shattered,
New arguments,
Second hand lines,
A place to be smothered,
A place to feel chained and bound,
A place to feel everyday danger,
Somewhere to be alone,
Somewhere to feel hate,
Somewhere my thoughts are scrambled,
Somewhere to find all the questions and
None of the answers,
Somewhere the hatred is all around,
Somewhere to have nothing,
This is my house not my home,
this is where every aspect of me fades and becomes non-existent.
This is where I do not belong.
This is where there is no more room.
This is where I try and try to fit in, but fail.
This is where nothing I do seems right.
This is where I feel everything , yet nothing,.
This is where the walls seem to close in around me.
this is where I love to be.
This is where the ones I love are.
This is where I have memories, good and bad.
This is where the beautiful days and stormy nights are immortalized.
This is where I feel comfortable.
This is where everything fits.
This is where I am home.
This is where my home is, and always will be.
For me this is my destiny.

Rushing river.
Water falls as it crashes over rocks.
The sign of freedom.
The sign of life.
Beauty.
Refreshing.
Freeing.
Bringing peace.
This place brings me all I need.
I remember this place like I was there yesterday.
I ran as fast as I could to be the first to see it.
I was mesmerized.
I saw the magic of this place.
I could not contain myself.
I got as close as I could.
I wanted to feel the mist on my face.
I closed my eyes and reached my hands into the air.
I felt the mist and the power of the free falling water.
I could smell the fresh water.
I could taste it.
I could feel it all around me.
It is a powerful place.
The memories live on in me.
I remember every detail of it.
The way the water falls.
The way the rocks separate it.
The way the plant life lives on lushly.
The way every time I think of it I am reminded of my childhood.

The beauty is unsurpassed.
The trees bring new life.
The light house guides me all to its beauty.
Colors splash the water.
Snow covers every inch in the winter.
New life peaks through the covers ground in the spring.
Sun beats down and makes everything grow to its full potential in the summer.
Leaves change colors and start to cover the ground in the fall.
The nature is all around.
Everything reminds me that I am guided in more ways then one.
I find peace in every inch of it.
It reminds me of life and home.
It reminds me that everything is going to be ok.
It reminds me that there is a guiding light in everything.
It reminds me that there is hope for everything and everyone.
It reminds me that there is a light house to help every lost ship.

It is where the Mississippi River starts the long voyage to the gulf of Mexico.
It is where you can walk across the rocks where the mighty river starts.
It is where I remember colors.
It is where I remember happy times.
It is where I remember laughing.
It is where I can think about life.
It is where my family seems to be at peace.
It is where I can see the beginnings and the ends.
It is where everything is peaceful.
It is where County Road 48 zig, zags and takes you on an adventure.
It is where you can get lost.
It is where you can find your self.
It is where you can walk barefooted and feel the mud push between your toes.
It is where you can have a picnic and watch the beauty of nature.
It is where the sky is clear.
It is my place of memories.

The water surrounds you.
The lights are all around.
At night the lights give off a glow so magical.
It all makes me feel like I am in a dream land.
The draw bridges are a beautiful sight.
There are water fountains and tall buildings.
There are ships passing by the light houses.
There are freedoms and constraints.
There are wondrous museums.
There are starry nights and sunny days.
The weather always seems perfect.
The beaches are of the finest sand.
The water is of the purist kind.
This place is history.
This place is the future.
This place is full of memories beyond belief.
This place is magic, in many ways.
