Money

The root of all evil,
In truth it is just
paper,
Or a simple metal
coin,
But in our screwed up
little minds,
It is the one thing
that determines our fate.
A man sits at home no money to his name,
He no longer is capable of paying his bills,
He has gambled it all away,
One last try,
He has the lottery
numbers in his hands,
A futile attempt for
the desperate some might say,
And yet he finds such
joy in trying his luck,
He has won the money
and now he has it all.
Another man wealthy as
possible,
Makes his money
through the stock market,
All of the money he
has and he still tries to make more,
The numbers suddenly
plummet,
And with it his
wealth.
He is without a home,
The love of his life
gone,
She was only in it for
the money,
And forever his fate
is changed.
And I without poverty
or wealth,
Need not money for
happiness,
Without it I could
live,
After all it is only
money.
