On the plane my
adventure began
Anticipating the fun I
was about to have
I was filled with
excitement but mostly fright
Only because I am
afraid of heights
As we arrive, I am hot
as can be,
I have the time of my
life; relaxing and running.
So many things to do,
the heat was so stunning.
But the ocean was
better with its afternoon tides.
I didn't want to leave
once I got used to the state,
But one week later,
home was calling, and we couldn't be late.
On the plane home it
was the same as before
With my hands gripping
tight, my feet glued to the floor.
We're on our way home
from the long trip away.
I really wish it
didn’t have to be today.
