Little Stone, Big World

Little stone so smooth
from the wind
Gently placed next to
the big rock
As the stream trickles
by, wet by the new rain
The rain sprinkles on
the little tree rejuvenating it
The sun shines down
But the little tree is
in a shadow of an older tree
It grows little by
little strengthening through the years
Like me
A little boy in a
great big world.
