It's Only the Dark

People fear the dark,
I must ask why.
It hides those frightening things.
Light, the symbol of
good,
It allows us to see.
Yet when we are
scared,
We close our eyes.
Suddenly darkness provides comfort.
Light and dark.
Yin and yang.
Different and yet the
same.
Light shows,
Dark hides.
We fear what we see,
We fear what we don't.
