I remember when the flood hit.

I remember the group coming to help us get things out of our basement.

I remember the sound of paint cans falling off the shelves into the water.

I remember playing Star Wars Monopoly with my sister at three in the morning.

I remember playing in complete darkness with only candles in the middle of the board.

I remember using our boat for transportation.

I remember golfing in the morning and riding my bike to the Salvation Army for lunch.

I remember getting free food and water from the Salvation Army.

I remember all of those free breakfast biscuits.

I remember the intoxicating smell from the sewage.

I remember staying in a friend's camper for eight days.

I remember conquering Castlevania on good old N64 in that camper.

I remember cleaning out the basement.
