Golfing

I walk, golf bag on my
back,
through the grass full
of dew,
early in the morning.
Sun shining, I can smell the freshly cut green grass.
The course is wide
open,
not another golfer in
sight.
I strut up to the tee
box, hoping for the best,
and smack a drive
straight down the middle.
This will be a good
round.
Tomorrow, most likely,
will not.
