The sun like a torch

The lawn........... dry

My throat.......... ..dry

If only I had a Mountain Dew

Maybe Water........ No, too plain

Maybe Cocoa ..... ..No, too hot

Maybe Gatorade.... .No, all tastes the same

Maybe Kool-aid...... ..No, too much effort

If only I had a Mountain Dew

I need something cold,

Something with citrus,

Something with a little zap,

Something that looks nice.

If only I had a Mountain Dew

I love the green mountain,

I love the red dew,

I love the blur of green and yellow,

The pop it makes when opened.
