Your Favorite Tree

When you are in a tree you climb

Up and down.  You can eat fruit

Like apples and oranges.  You call your friends

They come up too.

After they finish their fruit

They leave, then it’s just you.

You eat so many apples or oranges

You’re not hungry for dinner or dessert.

You say, I’ll eat later.

You head back to your favorite tree

And climb again, up and eat more fruit

With your friends.   Then it is time to climb

Down and head to bed and you dream

About what you did at your favorite tree.
