Wow, That Was Strange

It was 11:18 and I still wasn’t asleep. I had gone to bed hours ago but tonight I was restless. My hermit crabs and hamsters seemed extra noisy. Finally I started to feel tired. Then before I knew it I was in a wonderful dream.

I was wandering in my own neighborhood helplessly lost even though I knew where I was. I had just passed Alice ’s house but somehow it looked different. Then out of the corner of my eye I saw my dad. Boy if you were me you would be crying. In real life he is dead. “Dad!” I cried. But why wasn’t he answering me? After 15 minutes of calling he noticed me. “Bella!” he cried. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me right into his arms. We started to walk back home and then Dad stopped. “I have to go”, he said and then disappeared. On my way back home I was thinking about what just happened. I had reached my home and just like every other house in the neighborhood it looked different.

I climbed up the creaky front steps and burst into the house. As I took my first steps into the house I almost stepped on my hamsters. How did they get there? I climbed up the stairs and I guess I forgot to jump the stair with the hole in it so I almost fell in.

I hopped into my bed without taking my clothes off and changing into my pajamas. It seemed like only a second after I had got into bed and it was already 11:18. I got tired and was fast asleep before you could say Jack Robinson.

I awoke to the sound of my alarm clock. I t was a Saturday. I guess I forgot to turn my alarm clock off. And then it struck me. I had a quick flashback of the dream I had just awoken from. “Wow”, I said, “that was strange”.
