A Good Friend

One day, Jack, an ordinary kid who lived in Brookdale, went to see if he could make any friends since he just moved there.  He went to the park since he knew there are always people there.  He saw a couple of kids were playing together so he went to go see if he could play with them.  When he got to the other kids, he asked to play but they didn’t want him to.  So as years went by and he still didn’t have friends he asked his parents what he should do.  His parents both agreed he should go see if he could play at the park but he said “I don’t have any friends.”  So his parents said he should have friends, since he moved to Brookdale 5 year ago!  But he said that whenever he would ask if he could play with someone, everybody would just say “No.”  Then his parents noticed he should always have something to do with someone, so they got the idea of getting a dog.  So when they saved up their savings they went to the pet store!

The next think you know they were already walking out with a new golden retriever ready to go with everything it needs! So when Jack saw it he didn’t know what to name it.  Until the idea popped up:  “Howie!”  So his parents got the name tag and sharpie marker to write his name down, even though the pet store was next door, so they could have just gone there so they could print the name, they just wrote it which is sort of unusual.  Although he just let this one slide.

Later he took Howie to the park even though he stopped every 2 minutes for Howie to go to the bathroom!  So after the park Howie wanted to go to the store for pet treats.  Jack could tell.  But Jack told Howie the already have the treats at home!  Then Jack realized he was explaining to a dog, so Jack just continued walking home.  When Howie got home again he ran to the treat cabinet to grab a snack.  But lucky for Jack his parents locked it so Howie couldn’t just rip all of it up.  So when Jack got the key from his parents he opened the snack cabinet and Howie grabbed pretty much everything and RIP!  Pop cans, popcorn and dog snacks flew everywhere! Jack noticed he had to clean the mess up before his parents woke up from their nap!  So he grabbed everything he could and Howie ate everything that he could!

Jack cleaned it up!  Just in time too.  His parents were coming down 1 minute.  Jack of course counted down and he got it right since they did come down, but then he remembered that Howie was still in the kitchen!  Also since he ate all that stuff he was all bloated and Jack knew he had to hide him and that’s exactly what he did.  So Jack put Howie under the kitchen table and it worked out pretty good.  Right until dinner.  Howie was supp;osed to come out to eat but he was still fat and bloated and Jack’s parents were calling for Howie!  But Jack realized that he had to tell them what happened and when he told them they wanted proof, so he showed them Howie and then they got the picture.  But then Jack knew he had to give Howie a lot more walks and a ton of bathroom breaks.
